Hi everyone - We will meet on Thursday, May 1st in Alexandria, from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend.
We will use part of our meeting time to do some organizing work: select a
name, draft a mission statement, and select major objectives for the next
year. I will have some materials drafted in advance for us to discuss and
revise. We'll want input from everyone, so I hope many of you will be able to
attend the meeting!
Do you have a preference for a topic or speaker for the second half of the
meeting? I know fund-raising continues to be a major issue for everyone.
Other potential topics might include: long-range planning, how to effectively
use volunteers, grant writing. Please let me know if any of these would be of
interest, or if you have another suggestion. Do you know of someone who has
expertise and could speak or lead the discussion? Or would you like to
volunteer yourself? All suggestions are welcome!
Time for conversation and networking will also be included!
