Association with VAN?

Hi everyone - I am a new member of the Vital Aging Network Leadership group
and have been asked to serve on the Education Committee. As you may know, VAN
hosts a monthly forum on a variety of topics of interest to older adults. In
the past, these forums have only be available in the metro area. VAN is
planning to expand its forums to greater MN, providing additional educational
opportunities for older adults throughout the state. Current plans are for
the forums to be coordinated through the Area Agencies on Aging, which will
provide marketing and local leadership contacts. The first regional
connections for programming will be in Crookston, St. Cloud, Mankato, Duluth,
St. Paul, and Rochester or Winona.

VAN is aware that learning groups already exist in most of these locations.
Are you interested in jointly planning and hosting the VAN forums? I would
especially like to hear from leaders in St. Cloud, Duluth, St. Paul, Rochester
and Winona. If you are interested/willing to collaborate with VAN, may I
share your names and contact information with the VAN Education Committee?
I'd like to hear from others in the network as well, even though you may not
be on this list of original forum locations. Please let me know if it's OK
with you to give VAN your names and contact info. Also, let me know if you
have any comments/concerns/questions about how a possible partnership with VAN
would work in your area.
